You can claim up to 50% of the donation against your AGI (adjusted gross income). Please consult your accountant for further information as we are not accountants and do not provide tax advice.
You have 1-5 years from the date of issuance to use the full donation amount. No extensions are granted past the 5-year deadline.
Yes, you can use the entire donation amount in year 1 up to 50% against your AGI, or you can spread your donation amount over the 5-year term. If you do not use the complete donation amount by year 5 no extensions are granted. (Use it or lose it)
No, any items being kept that are listed on an appraisal, would require a new updated appraisal at the Donor’s expense. This could potentially cause additional fees and delays on the project.
